The boats have been put to rest for the night and the canals have become silent and still. The horse and carts are also asleep, and the deluge of human traffic that arrived earlier in the day is now mainly gone. For those fortunate and knowing who choose to stay; the reward is to be found in the calm of the dusk, at a perfect spot by the water when nothing but the pleasure of that moment exists.
